Charitable reverse split-dollar insurance is the purchase of a whole or universal life insurance policy where the issuing company pays a part of premium.  The purchaser's annual premium amount is donated to a nonprofit, allowing part or all of that amount to be deducted.  This type of arrangement is receiving a good deal of scrutiny by the IRS.
